If you live in Kuwait and if you are anything like me, then in spite of your love for our country, sometimes you would want to leave for a week or so. You see, I travel a lot, and I really enjoy it; I don’t know whether it is the packing, the hotels, or the taxis, who knows? It might even be the in-flight turbulence. However, if there was one thing I do not enjoy, then that would be waiting to board the plane. It might be a shock to many people, but since April 2010, the first thing I make sure is traveling along with me… is my iPad.

Who cares if it is the 1, 2, or the 2.5 (aka the new iPad). It just passes time, keeps you connected and entertained the whole time. You and I could be sitting opposite each other doing entirely different things with the same device! I mean you could be reading Seth Godin’s the Purple Cow, while I could be looking at my reflection in the black glossy display, and we would both look and be entirely occupied right?

I must say though, the problems I have with the iPad are:

  1. You could never look cool walking with one.
  2. You could never look cool using one while talking with your friend on an iPhone.

Still, that’s just me. What about you guys? iPad? Magazine? iPod? Which do you prefer? Another thing, have you ever tried telling the flight attendant that there is a flight mode in your iDevice? Careful though, she might reply “ah OK, then unbuckle your seat belt while you’re at it.”
